VERONICA ESCOBAR-MESA

Research Analyst

Veronica Escobar-Mesa is a Research Analyst at The Barthwell Group. She is a Senior at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Management with concentrations in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Veronica is part of the Questrom Honors Program and the Kilachand Honors College, which have allowed her to broaden her perspective on many fields. Throughout her time at Boston University she has been invited to become a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. As part of her involvement in the community, she currently serves as the Vice President for the Colombian Student Association and Vice President of Student Affairs for the Questrom Student Government.

Veronica has gained work experience through several internships. She was a marketing intern at a technology firm focusing on car insurance, an operations intern at a biotechnology incubator, and a customer experience intern at a boutique consulting firm. Throughout these positions she mainly focused on data analysis and client facing work. Finally, Veronica has been a research assistant since February 2019. During this time she has been able to work on many projects mainly focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. Veronica’s research mainly focuses on how startups and early stage firms perceive and deal with failure.
